Jungle Trekking

At over 130 million years old, Taman Negara National Park is believed to be the oldest rainforest in the world and trekking through this primeval wonderland is a must for Malaysians and tourists alike. There are numerous trails in the park to suit all abilities and fitness levels and our Jungle Explorer packages include a mixture of trekking, refreshing swims and wildlife encounters to make sure you get the most out of your time in the forest. Taman Negara has a dazzling array of plant and tree species from towering twisted strangler-figs to delicate orchids. As you walk the trails past spikey vines and swinging lianas, look out for animal tracks beneath your feet and the unmistakable scratch marks on tree trunks. Butterflies dance along the pathways and a myriad of bird song fills the air.

The shortest trek as part of our packages is only 45 minutes walk to reach Kelam Waterfall. This is still a beautiful part of the forest and great for anyone new to the jungle.

A medium trek is Gua Gajah (Elephant Cave) which takes around 4 hours to a small cave that is often visited by elephants.

The longest day-trek we offer is Lata Luis Waterfall, this is 22km return which usually takes around 6 hours. You can camp overnight in the rainforest at Lata Luis Waterfall.

Mountain climbing expeditions are longer trips into Taman Negara, there are a number of different options to choose from in Gunung Tahan packages

The jungle really comes to life after dark so we also offer night-walks in our packages or as an additional option, to maximise your chances of seeing animals in the wild.
